Examples:
Direct speech: José: I'm a teacher
Reported speech: José said (that) he was a teacher.
Direct speech: I ate pizza.
Reported speech:  José said he had eaten pizza.
Direct speech: José will call his mother tonight.
Reported speech:José said He would call his mother tonight.
Direct speech: I have had many girlfriends in the past.
Reported speech:  José said he had had many girlfriends in the past.
