unit 7.....

  • Unit 6….Resultado de imagen para so and neither

    So and Neither….
So and neither responses can be very difficult. Let's just focus on what we say if we agree with someone.
If someone says something negative and we agree with them we can use neither.
    If someone says something
positive and we agree with them we can use so.
We must also remember that the verb in the statement needs to agree with the verb in the response:
"I am excited about the party."
    "So am I."
    Example….
    1 - I don't like mushrooms.
    Neither do I
2 - I love going to the cinema.
    So do I
    3 - I can't swim.
    Neither can I
    4 - I haven't got a dog.
    Neither have I
    5 - I enjoyed the concert.
    So did I

The age of mayority

The age of majority

Many countries have their own legal age to get driver license or ID.

In Dominican Republic the legal age be an adult is 18. So if you're 18 in this country you'll be able to get you're driver license and ID. Having this important document (ID) permits you to do lots of things that you shouldn't be able to do when you were 17 or less, you can go to the disco Tec or places that only aduts people  could go, even you can get marriage and have children.

Personally I think young people ( teenagers) in Dominican Republic should be  permitted to get  their driver licenses at the age 0f 15 or 16 and their ID too but that's my opinion not theirs (people who create the lows). Others countries such as United Estates of America and others permit teenagers
to get their driver licenses  at 16. So why in this country (Dominican Republic) isn't  permit to driver license at 16 too.

Unit 5

The age of majority in Dominican Republic:

18 is the legal age for most things in Dominican Republic. At 18 you can vote and get a driving license, and also you can get married. But my point of view is the law ought to be changed. 18 are too Young to do everything you want.

Passive of modal verbs:

(Example)
Ø   The law ought to be changed in Dominican Republic.
Ø   Children shouldn’t be allowed to work.
Ø   Young people shouldn’t be allowed to drive.
Ø   Young people shouldn’t be encouraged to get credit card, something must to be done about it.

Get passive vs. be passive:

The violence is the major problems in Dominican Republic.
Violence should be punished; we don’t have a security life.
People who hit women should be arrested end should get sentenced. I think all the people that make crimes should be given a prison sentence.
